A label is a word that helps you to monitor experience, by naming what you're experiencing in a given moment. The primary Unified Mindfulness labels are See, Hear and Feel. A mental label is a label that you think to yourself. A spoken label is a label that you speak out loud.

While noting adding a spoken or mental label. To help induce equanimity it is good practice to use an emotionally flat voice (either outer or inner) while labeling.
