Having taught literature, communication studies and women’s studies at UCLA for decades, I have now been teaching mindful awareness to undergraduates. My goal is to explore how to integrate mindfulness into Higher Education. I am using mindfulness as a tool to help students write and learn more creatively. How can we integrate mindfulness into the learning process, regardless of the subject matter?
How can we cultivate equanimity with not-knowing? Learning is fascinating to me also as a learner, not just as a teacher. Photography has recently been a big focus of my learning process. I have recently exhibited my photographs in several exhibitions at UCLA. I am currently writing about the learning process through mindful photography. In addition, I am a dancer of Argentine tango and am writing about mindful dancing as well. I would love to connect with anyone who shares these interests.
