My journey with meditation began in 2009, during some of life’s most challenging moments, with a diagnosis of hereditary cancer and a rare disease that since then has led my body through multiple surgeries and ongoing health challenges. Today, I live with chronic pain, fatigue, and all that comes with a rare condition. These experiences have shaped my life, infusing it with deep resilience, compassion, and the gift of presence.
I find it important to highlight that mindfulness is not a magic fix or a way to become calm overnight, or escape pain: it’s an anchor, a steady companion through pain, grief, and hardship. Meditation has been my safe harbour, and I share it with humour, warmth, and honesty, meeting life as it is rather than selling impossible promises.
Inspired by the Unified Mindfulness approach and its versatility to make practice accessible in any moment, I offer classes and sessions for those navigating chronic pain, loss, and life’s heavier burdens. Alongside teaching, I am a patient advocate, creating Spanish-language awareness content on patient rights, neurodivergence, oncology, sarcomas and ostomy care.
Whether you’re in the middle of your own storm, or just feeling a little lost (or you’re curious about how small moments of rest can ripple out to change everything!) I invite you to join me. No experience needed, no “right mind” to bring. Just bring yourself, just as you are.
Let’s discover, together, what becomes possible when we practice, even for a moment.
