25 years ago, after suffering from chronic anxiety and panic attacks, I was at the library and a small thin book, Peace is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh, captured my attention. I loved the simplicity of his teachings and started sitting, watching the breath, and integrating his stopping, calming, resting, relaxing method into my everyday life.
In 2005, my wife and I moved to an Ashram in central Virginia and lived for 4 years managing their organic farm and I’m still farming full-time today. I realized through this work that I am just supporting the plants as I grow food for people. There is no “I” doing it, just facilitation and guidance as the crops reach their highest manifestation.
This is how I like to approach the activity of mindfulness teaching/training. I’m available to assist as you start with the Unified Mindfulness system and support those seeking clarity as to how mindfulness can help with your happiness goals. Please feel free to contact me for a free consultation to see if this is a good fit for you or your organization.
