I am a physician who, in the course of her life, also trained to become a yoga teacher and, finally, a meditation coach. Fascinated by the human brain and organism, I believe in a holistic approach to the human body and soul. My work in the field of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy has taught me that physical illnesses do not arise in isolation, but always have a connection to the psyche. My work as a teacher of restorative yoga has taught me that emotional problems always have a connection to the body. But the training to become a meditation coach within the UM system has been instrumental in bringing it all together. This training opened the door to a much deeper understanding, provided the structure and language to talk about mindfulness experiences in a very differentiated way, and deepened my own practice beyond expectation. All humans carry powerful resources within themselves. As a meditation coach, I strive to be a facilitator of access to these individual resources, and a companion in processes of self-discovery and transformation.
