Michelle Morris

Melbourne, Australia
Unified Mindfulness L² Coach

Meditation has been an integral part of Michelle’s life for the last 30 years, and she has had a long-term practice in Kum Nye (Tibetan yoga).  She has trained in and taught various systems of meditation, including MBSR, Stillness Meditation Therapy and UM. Michelle is very grateful for Shinzen’s system, and for the last 10 years attended part of virtually every Home Practice Program.

Michelle holds a MA in Transpersonal Psychology and diploma of Family Therapy.

Since 1992 she has offered psychotherapy to children and adults. The approaches she uses are Embodied Imagination®, Sandplay Therapy and Mindfulness.

One of the motivations for Michelle to practice mindfulness, is that it helps provide the foundation for her therapeutic work, (and life generally) being present, attuned and equanimeous. She finds UM a wonderful toolkit for clients of all ages and different walks of life.

As well as the application of mindfulness in therapy, Michelle enjoys teaching mindfulness in groups and one-on-one. Nature is also something Michelle is passionate about. She initiated and is part of the committee for revegetation along the Darebin Creek. And for several years she has been a student of ikebana.
