I am a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Candidate (CSAT-Candidate) licensed and working in Spartanburg, SC. I see a variety of clients in my in private therapy practice, Highest Heights Individual and Family Therapy LLC, and I work through Spartanburg County School District 3 as an independently contracted therapist where I see students of all ages. As a Level-2 Mindfulness Coach through the “Unified Mindfulness” system, I also teach clients how to apply the skills of mindfulness meditation to situations and relationships of daily life. In addition, I have been trained in the Comprehensive Course in Interpersonal Neurobiology through the “Mindsight Institute”, and my therapeutic style is also greatly influenced by Psychodynamic and Narrative frameworks of therapy. While it is not the same as my therapeutic work, the way I approach mindfulness coaching has certainly been shaped by my experience as a working therapist.
I am lucky to be married to a wonderful woman, and we share two amazing children. Before working as a therapist, I was an orchestra director in public schools in Spartanburg, SC, and I still enthusiastically maintain my musicianship as a classical guitarist.
