Meg Salter

I offer Mindfulness Coaching and Executive Coaching to those who endeavor to create positive change in their world. My passion is supporting clients to develop custom solutions to their unique challenges, integrating the many facets of the Unified Mindfulness system and evidence-based coaching methods. I work globally, to anyone with a phone or internet connection, either one-on-one or small groups. My coaching approach is based on professional qualifications, deep experience in meditation, and an extensive business background, all underpinned by Integral Theory.

My book Mind Your Life: How Everyday Mindfulness Can Build Resilience and Reveal Your Extraordinary (May 26, 2017), is a practical hands-on guide to developing a customized, sustainable meditation practice, integrating Unified Mindfulness with coaching guidelines for behavior change.

I started meditating in 1995, initiated by a family trauma, which has given me particular sensitivity to how mindfulness can develop personal resilience. I managed to keep practice going while pursuing a career and raising children.  For the first ten years, my meditation practice included Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Contemplative Christianity, and Vajrayana Buddhism. When I came across Shinzen Young in 2005, I was able to take practice to another level entirely. This uniquely engineered approach can turn mindfulness from something you do as a special activity to something you do all day long.  I have been teaching since 2002, and am a Senior Facilitator in Unified Mindfulness. It is such a joy to witness the boost to resilience and personal flourishing in those who develop mindfulness skills, with the beneficial spillover effects on their colleagues, friends and families.

I hold an MBA from the Boston University at Brussels, am accredited as an Integral Master Coach™, a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, and a Certified Senior Organizational Development Professional. I have a 30-year professional background both as a senior business manager and, through MegaSpace Consulting, provide change management consulting and executive coaching.  I have lived and worked in the U.K. and Belgium and provides professional services to clients in Canada, the USA and internationally. Home is with my husband in both Toronto, Canada and a cabin on the shores of Lake Huron. My board and pro-bono work focus on newcomer integration, community building and individual empowerment.
