I am a passionate educator and advocate for mindfulness, holistic wellness and play as vehicles for personal and social change. After experiencing PTSD along with panic attacks and depression, I had to learn to befriend myself with kindness and shift my perfectionist tendencies. Mindfulness opened the door to a different way of being and helped me shift my relationship with my anxiety as well as the ups, downs and changes of life that are a part of our beautiful human experience.
My professional experience in the field of education has deepened my belief in the power of mindful awareness and compassion to transform school communities, organizations and team environments. Hailing from my background as a collegiate athlete and coach and as a current high school teacher, I understand and value the importance of connecting mind, body and heart to help individuals and organizations live life fully and maximize their potential. I am a certified Level 2 Unified Mindfulness Coach as well as a certified yoga instructor.
