Unified Mindfulness L² Coach
Fred Pitt is a Mindfulness Coach, Teacher, and Public Speaker with over 25 years of business experience including over 10 years at the senior executive level. He is a certified Level 2 Unified Mindfulness Teacher who brings his rich depth of knowledge of large organizations, change management, employee engagement and executive management to his Mindfulness teaching. A Servant Leader whose growth from time spent in the boardroom as well as with staff on the front line, has richly informed his compassionate perspective on leadership.
Fred has been practicing mindfulness for the past six years, having been drawn to it as an executive looking for ways to cope with the stress and demands of his leadership roles. Introduced to Unified Mindfulness two years ago, he found the method systematic and easy to understand, and started to study with Shinzen Young as well as to become a certified L2 Unified Mindfulness Coach. As is his style, Fred dove right into his new vocation, spending time meditating at an Ashram in India, and completing over 500 hours of silent meditation retreats which have taken him from Niagara Falls Canada, to as far away as Wat Suan Mokkh Monastery in Southern Thailand.
Convinced that the clarity of thought and improved focus that come from a mindfulness practice will improve anyone’s performance at work or at home, Fred’s main focus is Mindfulness in the Workplace. Having introduced Mindfulness to leadership teams and seen the impact it can have, he is excited to share this method with others who may be looking for a better way through the competitive, stressful environment of the modern workplace, in order to become more productive, healthy and happy.
